Be careful with there/their/they're and where/wear .

"The ancient clock on the mantelpiece ticked rhythmically, counting down the seconds until the guests arrived." 4. Advanced Vocabulary (Used Correctly)

Mix short, punchy sentences for tension with longer, descriptive ones for flow. "Silence fell. Then, a bang."

Use more than just periods and commas. Try to include a question mark , exclamation mark , or ellipsis (... ) .

"'Run!' he screamed, but it was already too late."
