Two pieces for the outer layer and two for the lining (typically cm for a small pouch).

Open the zipper halfway (crucial for turning!). Pin the outer pieces together and the lining pieces together. Sew all the way around, leaving a small opening in the lining.

Mid-weight woven interfacing (like Pellon SF-101) to give the pouch structure.

Pull the pouch through the opening in the lining, then stitch the opening closed. Push the lining into the pouch and press.

A standard nylon or metal zipper (about 14 inches or 35 cm is common for standard bags).

Sewing machine, thread, scissors, and optionally a glue stick for positioning. 2. Preparation & Assembly

Iron the interfacing onto the wrong side of your outer fabric pieces.
