There is nothing worse that installing a plugin, building your site / course operation around this, to find that when you want to upgrade Moodle you can’t – because that plugin is no longer maintained 🙁
I’ve seen some Universities and other large Moodle installations becoming years out of date because they adopted a plugin that didn’t;t then get upgraded.
