Though he initially accidentally starts a forest fire, Mowgli realizes he cannot fight like a wolf. The peace of Mowgli's upbringing is shattered when , a fearsome tiger bearing scars from humans, senses the boy’s presence. Viewing humans as a threat to the jungle's safety, the tiger demands Mowgli be turned over to him, vowing to kill anyone who protects him. The Journey
